Blogger RAK from Melissa Tootle!

Lookie what I got yesterday! I was RAK'ed by Melissa Tootle who blogs at "Mommy's Stampin' Creations"!

I LOVE these new papers. Purely Pomegranite is such a beautiful crisp, clear shade and looks awesome paired with the fresh look of Soft Sky.

Thanks Melissa!

Splitcoastbloggers List and Splitcoastbloggers RAK's - Important Info, please read

Regarding our BIG LIST HERE

For your information, I'd like to say a word about Updates to Splitcoastbloggers and the Blogger RAK list.

Splitcoastbloggers is a completely Volunteer-Run list of stamping/crafting blogs written by members of the forum Splitcoaststampers.

Since it is administrated by volunteers (me and 3 others) a week or more may pass before you are listed.

For those who have said they sent me their blog link weeks ago, please be aware that my email is through Sbcglobal and their spam catcher is very "good"... meaning unfortunately it is filtering out some people who email me with blogger links.

I *do* briefly check through my Bulk mail folder before I send it all to the Trash. However, my check is brief and done at a glance. I can't take the time to look through it all because of the volume of spam that gets caught. I do my best, but unfortunately I can't be certain I'm finding all of your blog requests that end up in there.

I highly suggest that if you send me an email about adding your site to my sbcglobal address and you don't see your blog posted after a month's time, that you post your link here at the SplitcoastBloggers post at Splitcoaststampers.

Regarding the BLOGGER RAK LIST HERE

Here's how it works:

Joining the BIG LIST doesn't automatically get you into the RAK list. This is because not everyone on the BIG LIST wants to participate in Blogger RAKs. To join the Blogger RAK group you need to first be a member of the SCS RAK usergroup. The reason for this is so that the list of addresses are protected and viewable to members only. I will not email out the list individually to people because I can't guarantee who the list will be passed to. Members need to use the list posted in this forum. If you can't get into this forum, then you need to apply for access to it through SCS.

The idea behind Blogger RAK's is to exchange creations with other members of the Stamping Bloggers community, get art for our blogs, and create links between all our blogs.

Members who get an RAK from an RAK Blogger must take a photo of it, post it and link back to the blog of the sender!

This list is updated when I have the time, usually once a week, but not always.

Blogger RAK from Diane Gilbert!

This is blogger RAK came to me from Diane Gilbert! Diane writes:

Hi,
This is my first attempt at sending out blogger RAK's. I chose you because I enjoy visiting your blog and checking out all of your ideas! I hope you enjoy my card. Have a great day!! signed, Diane.

Thanks, Diane! I love it! This card was made with the Stampin' Up! set "Bodacious Bouquet". Here she pairs the colors Turquoise and Chocolate Chip! She used designer paper from the "Friends & Flowers" Scrappin' Kit, the Aida Cloth background stamp and the greeting "A Happy Hello" from the "All Year Cheer 1" stamp set.

You can see that Diane carefully cut out the flowers and popped them up with Dimensionals. She dotted some glue in the flower centers and added gold glitter! What is not to love here!

Blogger RAK from Michele Pereira!

This cute card arrived a few days ago along with another that will be uploaded shortly. The delay in posting these was due to a stamp class that I taught at the Caledonia Recreation Dept. This card was made by blogger Michele Pereira.

Michele Pereira's card harks back to summer 2006 when the "Sheltering Tree" stamp set was featured in the Stampin' Up! Summer mini catalog at that time. Notice how she used the tree here as the main image and accented the twill tape with stamped flowers. The tree is popped up with dimensionals and Hodgepodge Hardware provides clever accents.

Thanks Michele!

Blogger RAK from Julee Tilman!

Julee is one of the Splitcoastblogger website volunteers and a talented card maker.

Here is a Blogger RAK from Julee that features an adorable Japanese kitty!

Inside Julee writes:

Hi Michelle - Just wanted to say hi and thank you for all you do to keep splitcoastbloggers up and running. I'm so glad I can be part of the team. Happy Stamping! Julee Tilman

Julee blogs over at Poetic Artistry!

Thanks Julee! That background paper is awesome!

Blogger RAK from Debbiedee!

This card was made by blogger Debbiedee over at Snickerdoodle Dreams! How nice for this to appear in my mailbox today. And funny that the two most recent Blogger RAK's I'm posting today both showcase the color red.

I wore a red skirt and red floral shirt today at work. Red must be the color of the day!

Blogger RAK by Jennifer Hensley!

Jennifer Hensley over at Stampin' in the Midwest recently sent me this silly card! How fun - the scrapbook paper used on this card has glitter stars.

Thanks, Jen!

Blogger RAK from Janet Marks

Made especially for me!!!

Janet Marks knows how much I love the color purple, the lilac flower and KITTIES! Check out this adorable creation!

Janet used Puuurrrfect Plum, Lavender Lace and Whisper White cardstock. The kitty is colored in and she used the retired Meow Meow stamp set that I own also and I will never ever sell!!! She made the bow on kitty a pretty purple!

Thanks Janet! You ROCK!

Blogger RAK from Dawn Griffith!

A little dry embossed vellum graces this card from blogger Dawn Griffith. Oh, how I will hate seeing the Cool Caribbean In Color go away in July. Here Cool Caribbean is paired elegantly with black!

Blogger RAK from Kristin Soboloski!

I think I need a stamp that says "The world is a better place with shimmer in it!" because I love shimmer! Stamper and blogger Kristin Soboloski shows me what she can do with products that create shimmer on the card she mailed me. Check out the shimmery layer of "WOW" Diamond Dust paper on this card! Beads too! and some Pearl-ex mixed with Lumiere (I think) and gold embossing! and silver cord!

With all this shimmer, you'd think the card would come out overdone... but it is PERFECT! It has just the right amount of shimmer in just the right places!

Thanks Kristin!

Blogger RAK from Teresa Otto!

The double ribbon and layering on this card by Teresa Otto is lovely. Teresa states that her card was inspired by a card made by Beate Johns. The name of the stamp set used on this card is Polka Dots and Paisley, by Stampin' Up! and the images were stamped in ink that matches the cardstock colors for a subtle effect. Teresa used the Stampin' Up! large oval punch for the tag. This stamp set is in the current Spring mini catalog.

Thanks Teresa!

Blogger RAK from Charmaine!

Polka dot grosgrain ribbon sets this card apart from all the rest. Blogger Charmaine Ikach mailed me this one!

Thanks Charmaine!

Blogger RAK from Anna Zuniga!

Blogger Anna Zuniga sent me this adorable card with a turtle. It is so sweet of her to mail me a little bit of springtime in an envelope! Nice striped, textured paper Anna!

Thanks!

Blogger RAK from Teresa Shaw!

How did Teresa Shaw know I love flowers and the Monet style? The scrapbook paper Teresa chose for this breathtaking RAK reminds me of my favorite artist. I could stare at this card for simply hours on end!

Real chocolate brown ric rac adorns this tri-fold pocket card. Three bitty primas are on the inside card and of course, there is a gigantic prima mulberry flower on the front too!

Thanks so much Teresa.

Blogger RAK from Lauri Rybarczyk!

Purple and pretty, blogger Lauri Rybarczyk shows what can be done with a Cuttlebug and some glitter.

Check out the stylish scrapbook paper too! Love the pocket, Lauri! Thanks!

Blogger RAK from Lori Tecler!

Lori's card arrived a few days ago. With the death of my grams, I've been behind in posting to my blog.

Blogger Lori Tecler's cheerful card in primary colors touched my heart upon opening it. The card was a breath of freshness and sunshine in a week that has not been the best in my life.

Thank you Lori. It is beautiful.

Blogger RAK from Beate Johns!

Layers are the name of the game on this card mailed to me by Beate Johns! Check out these colors and shapes! It is hard to tell from the photo, but the "Friend" saying floats above the cardstock on a sheet of acetate held at the top right corner with a black brad and also secured at the punched round flower element which sits at the top of the acetate. Very Very cool design!

Thanks Beate!

Blogger RAK from Debbie Seyer!

This is a pretty color combination on this card I received from Debbie Seyer! She combined Tempting Turquoise, Cool Caribbean, Pretty in Pink and Always Artichoke. The pale pink really pops when combined with these darker colors!

My kitty decided she wanted to get in on the photo session...

Blogger RAK from Allison Fillo

This card came in a package along with chocolate candies! It is from Allison Fillo! She knows I like cats, and as you can see here, Sunshine likes Allison's card! She stepped in front of the camera as I was taking the photograph.

Thanks Allison! The candies were yum!

Blogger RAK from Terri Thill!

Look at the pretty card made by blogger Terri Thill that I recieved in my mailbox! Terri created this card with the Iris Twist technique! How easy is that? I love her choice of colors and how she offset the focal image with the additional layer underneath.

Thank you Terri!
